TESTING MACHINES

Testing machine CERAM-TÍERMOTEST

  • Application - strength, deformation, and fracture toughness tests of ceramic and other brittle non-metallic materials in bending;
  • Tests environment - air;
  • Temperature range - from 20 to 1450oC.
Main technical data:
  • maximum test load - 20 kN;
  • crosshead displacement rate - from 50 µm/min up to 50 mm/min;
  • error of load measurements ± 0.5 %;
  • measurement ranges of specimen deflection - from  0 up to 100(1000) µm;
  • error of deflection measurements ± 1 %;
  • resolution of the cross-head displacement measurements - 50 µm;
  • total error of  temperature maintenance in the specimen working area  ± 1%.

 

   
Testing Features
  • High efficiency of tests. A special cassette device intended for supplying specimens into high-temperature chamber allows to obtain the ultimate strength temperature dependence for one cycle of heating of the furnace.
  • Obtaining stress-strain curves in the whole range of the testing machine working temperature.
  • Measurements of deflection are carried out directly on a specimen by means of special measuring devices made of ceramics.
  • Performing testing process in manual or completely PC-controlled modes.

CERAM - THERMOTEST Software

The program STRENGTH  provides realization of bending tests in an automatic mode and allows to perform the following operations:

  • Test mode for a set of specimens for obtaining ultimate strength vs. temperature relationship;
  • Test mode for one specimen with recording of its load-deflection curve;
  • Choice of test type: three- or four-point bend;
  • Setting specified loading parameters;
  • Measuring, processing, and acquisition of test data;
  • Return of the loading supports in safety position before cooling the furnace;
  • Test data retention by recording in files and listing of test reports.
