System for tests of ceramics UNIK – BIKINT
The system is intended for performing tests of ceramics
and other brittle nonmetallic materials with unspecialized test machines.
It includes a precision loading unit (it can be set in a test
machine of any type, which provides application of compressive forces) and
allows to carry out tests of specimens in 3- or 4-point bending according to various standards.
The stand-alone measurement system includes subunits
for measuring loads and deflections (deformation) with a relative error of
measurements no worse than ±1%, and also a subunit for registration of acoustic emission parameters
accompanying deformation and fracture of materials.

System "RESURS "
for estimation of remaining life of structures
Automated system "RESURS " has been developed for the control of
the stress condition and estimation of residual life for
structural elements of the main unit (MU) of the space station "MIR "
during its operation. The System "RESURS " consists of: fatigue
damage gauges, cable network, blocks of switching, measuring block.
Fatigue damage gauges are set in dangerous places of a structure at the
beginning of its operation and intended for registration of local
effective stresses. The principle of their operation is based on
irreversible changes of specific electric resistance of the gauge metal under
the action of cyclic deformations. The system " RESURS" allows
to carry out measurements using a set of gauges at the end of different
stages of the MU operation (pressurization, transportation etc.), and also
periodically during all orbital flight.
The system "RESURS" can be used for the control of the stress
condition and diagnostics of remaining life of vital structural
elements and structures in aviation, space industry and engineering.
